I have focused this week’s Across My Desk on some of the controversial trends and issues impacting our healthcare system. As case managers are central to streamlining care and ensuring quality and cost effective services for consumers, I urge you to take a few minutes out of your week, read the various news items shaping our world, and share your opinion or thoughts by sending me a quick email. I will post your comments in next week’s Across My Desk so all can see where the case management community stands on these leading issues.
As many of you know, last week we asked selected case managers to participate in a reader’s survey to gain insight into professional and educational needs. This helps me keep my finger on the pulse of the industry. We had an overwhelming response from case managers across the continuum of care so, I have asked our team to extend the deadline for another week so we can open up the survey to all readers of Across My Desk.
