As I researched this week’s Across My Desk, I came across a number of articles on topics that have a direct impact on the practice of case management. With this in mind, I have added a new feature to this week’s Across My Desk that lets you contribute your thoughts on the issues that affect us all. After many of the news summaries in this week’s Across My Desk, you’ll find an invitation for your feedback, categorized as either a “Question” or a “Request.” These are the items on which I’m inviting your feedback.
Because your insight is invaluable to me in keeping my finger on the pulse of the practice, I’m offering an incentive to those of you who take the time over the next week to send in your thoughts. I will select 15 responses to receive a special gift from me as a token of my appreciation for your time and energy.
Here are the ground rules:
- Click on Across My Desk, and read the news items that interest you.
- For items followed by a “Request” or a “Question” that you wish to respond to, copy and paste the item’s summary into an email, along with the text of the question or request.
- Write your comments in the bofy of the message immediately after each item.

- To win, you must answer at least four of the request or questions. Answers must demonstrate ideas on how the practice of case management can address the issue.
- The deadline is Saturday, October 28, 2006, 3:00 p.m. (EDT).
