By the time you read this issue of Across My Desk, my husband and I will be sailing into the first of four ports of call on our long awaited vacation to the Southern Caribbean. I’m leaving my laptop and cell phone at home in Florida (it is a vacation, after all!) but if you do want to email me, feel free to, and I’ll respond when I get back. All I plan to pack is the latest James Patterson book, some new clothes, and suntan lotion!
To keep you all busy, I have gathered several important news stories that I hope you get the time to review. These articles illustrate trends and issues impacting all of us. As case managers, it’s important to keep up to date with new information that sheds light on challenges our patients face.
As we wind down the year, it is time for us to think about the holidays and making new resolutions for self-improvement. I hope you can take some quiet time over the Thanksgiving holiday to think about what steps you will make towards self-improvement. As I will have lots of time to think while cruising the Caribbean, I will also take a pad of paper and take time to listen to my own advice.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends! See you on November 27th!
