As busy professionals, many of us depend on our to-do lists to keep our heads on straight. They remind us where we need to be and what we need to do each day. Those of us who have families have the added obligation of managing the entire family’s agenda — an important responsibility since doing so helps everyone know who needs to be where and when.
Personally, I still like to use my Day-Timer to keep tack of my schedule and tasks, but also keep my Outlook calendar updated, too, since I can set reminders when events are due. Many have graduated to more high-tech systems that allow them to check schedules from anywhere, 24/7, simply by connecting to their calendars via a Blackberry or Trio.
In this week’s e-letter, I wanted to share a few things that you might want to add to your to-do list:
- VOTE. If you are a member of the Case Management Society of America (CMSA), it is time to vote for the Board of Directors for the upcoming 2007-2008 term. If you did not receive an email alerting you how to access your ballot, call the national office at 501-225-2229. I voted over the weekend and was impressed with the slate of candidates that made up the ballot and the ease of voting. Voting for the leaders of the CMSA is one of the benefits of membership. So take a few minutes out of your day and cast your vote!
- Read the February/March issue of Case in Point. Keep your eye out for your issue in this week’s mail. When you receive it, take some time to review the magazine and send me an email with your comments and suggestions. You can reach me at allewellyn@dorlandhealth.com
- Complete the Case in Point Posttest and Program Evaluation and earn FREE CE credits! One of this year’s enhancements to Case in Point is the ability for readers to earn continuing education credits. The February/March issue is approved for 4 contact hours for certified care managers and certified disability management specialists. To introduce our premier CE issue, we have waived the $15 processing fee. So don’t miss this one-time opportunity to ear FREE CE credits through Case in Point.
- Try it on FOR THE CURE. Cold Water Creek stores are supporting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. If you try on something in the store, Cold Water Creek will donate $1 to this global breast cancer movement. There’s absolutely no purchase necessary . . . although you just might find something nice for yourself while doing something nice for someone else!
Have a great week!
