A Way to Say Thank You To Our Troops

If you want a way to say Thank You to Our Troops, check out what Xerox and its partners are doing! Visit the Let’s Say Thanks website, which allows you to pick out a thank you card that Xerox will print and send to a soldier currently serving overseas! You can’t pick who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services. This is a free service and it will only take a moment of your time.

Arizona health center strives to interest younger students in nursing as career

In an effort to get more students interested in nursing as a career, Abrazo Health Care has launched a shadowing program with help from the city of Phoenix and Gateway Community College. Abrazo’s Arrowhead Hospital, located in Glendale, Ariz., has welcomed high school students who follow nurses around high-traffic areas of the hospital. The students, ages 16 to 18, participate in a four-week summer program that allows them to receive college credit working in the classroom and spending eight hours per week in a monitored clinical setting. Editor’s Note: The 2007 Salary and Trends Survey (available at www.caseinpointmagazine.com) demonstrates the need for leaders in the practice of case management to join forces with those building programs to attract new students to the practice.
