It’s that time of the year when we all start taking inventory of what we need to do to wrap things up and prepare for a new year on a clean (and hopefully organized) slate. Over the past few weeks, case management professionals have sent me a good number of emails looking for last-minute CEUs to renew their CCM and CDMS certifications. Readers of Across My Desk can obtain a total of 20 contact hours by completing the posttests and program evaluations for the 2007 issues of Case in Point magazine. But you need to do it fast. These contact hours will expire on December 31, 2007.
If you don’t have a hard copy of the magazine, don’t worry. You can visit www.caseinpointmagazine.com, and download past issues at no charge. Each issue is approved for 4 contact hours. There is a $15 processing fee for each of the April/May, June/July, August/September, and October/November issues. As the inaugural CE issue of Case in Point, the February/March 2007 issue presents no charge for 4 hours!
Additionally, a single-topic supplement on cultural diversity, Working Together Toward Cultural Competency, is also available on the website. This program yields another 2 contact hours toward CCM and CDMS certification. For the sake of easily attainable contact hours, pass the word to your friends and colleagues before this important resource expires.
