Hope all of you enjoyed the Fourth of July and were able to celebrate with your friends and family. A long weekend always allows us to regroup and think about what is important. I took some time to look at the various projects we currently are hosting on our websites. In doing so, I decided to send out an SOS to all of you who have not yet participated. For those of you who have shared your opinions, thank you. For those of you who have not, get into the fold today!
- Salary and Trends Survey. The purpose of this survey is to glean information from case managers across all settings of the care continuum. The survey closes on July 30, and the results will be published in the October issue of Case in Point. They will likewise be posted on the website so that you can use this information to evaluate your place in the practice. To access the survey, click here and then click on the icon on the upper left-hand corner of the page.
- Case Management Resource Guide. If you have received the 2008 version of the Case Management Resource Guide and have not yet taken the Survey, click here to complete this important resource. The purpose of this survey is to gain insight into how you use the guide and which sections are of greatest importance to you.
- Continuing Education Credits from the June/July issue of Case in Point. In order to improve efficiency, we are in the process of revamping our CE process. Phase One of the project was to move the paperwork from the magazine to our website (see the upper right-hand corner). Once you read through the June/July issue, you can complete the post-test and program evaluation and send the information to our office. Then we will mail a Certificate of Completion to you.
Phase Two of the project is to automate the entire process, which will allow you to complete the full process online and gain your Certificate of Completion immediately. We plan to have this feature up and running by August 15, so stay tuned.
- Case Management Writing Contest. The entries of the 2008 Writing Contest communicated why case management is an important tool for patients, families and the healthcare industry as a whole. You can access the writing contest by clicking on the CM Stories icon on the website.
