Case Management Week is just around the corner. The dates for the annual celebration are October 12 to the 18. In preparation for Case Management Week all of us at Dorland Health have worked hard over the past few months to create a new look for our case management resources, including Case In Point magazine and Across My Desk.

The October/November issue of Case In Point, replete with new departments and a fresh countenance, should be arriving in your mailboxes in the next week or so. We hope you enjoy the changes and we look forward to your feedback.

Across My Desk also will get a makeover, as well as a new name. Beginning with the edition on October 7, Across My Desk will be renamed Case In Point Weekly, and the weekly e-newsletter will premiere a new look, so don’t be fooled and delete it by mistake.

The basic format of the e-newsletter will not change, and it will continue to bring you the cutting-edge information that you have come to expect each week.

I have heard from people across they country that Across My Desk is a “must read” because it is an efficient way to keep up to date and informed on issues and trends related to the health care industry. As with the changes to Case In Point, I look forward to your comments and suggestions so that we can continue to deliver information that allows you to improve your practice.

Now that I have shared our plans for Case Management Week, what are yours? The weeklong celebration serves to recognize case managers, to educate the public about case management, and to increase recognition of the significant contribution case managers have on the quality of health care for the patient, the provider and the payer.
